ClearPeaks at Big Things Conference Madrid

ClearPeaks to showcase expertise in Big Things Data & AI Conference 2019

From 20-21 November 2019, Madrid will become a focal point for tech and business communities interested in new insights and in sharpening their awareness on the latest, ground-breaking and biggest technologies. From AI, to Big Data, Machine Learning, IoT and Blockchain technology, the Big Things 2019 Data and AI Conference is a key feature in any technology expert’s events calendar.

With high quality speakers talking about a wide range of topics and combining technological updates with business knowledge, we are proud to be part of this year’s event. We will share our expertise on Big Data, Cloud and Analytics with managers, data engineers, data scientists and anyone who has an interest in AI technologies and who are keen to discover more about the recent novelties in what is one of the most popular set of technologies around.

On Wednesday 20th November at 12:35, we will be holding a talk on “The present and future of Cloudera” in Track 3 of the Big Things 2019 Conference.

Our in-house Big Data, Advanced Analytics and Cloud team has a unique blend of BI professionals, data scientists and business experts, that can evaluate specific situations with a business focus and suggest how to enhance BI platforms using Big Data, Cloud or AA and add competitive advantages to businesses by creating new opportunities and innovating. This team is not only excited to take part in this event; it is fully prepared to do so. With over 15 Cloudera certificates, our team has demonstrated a clear expertise successfully implementing services with Cloudera, the most complete all-in-one Hadoop-based Big Data platform on the market.

As an ever-evolving market leader that is used in most global companies and across many industries, Cloudera’s endless updates can often seem difficult to catch up with. As Cloudera partners, we need to ensure that we stay on top of the wave with regards to these updates so that our customers are quick to benefit from the best technology on the market. Our acquired knowledge on the present and future of Cloudera, and the workloads that we find in Cloudera clusters, such as data lakes, data warehouses, search engines, data engineering and data science will be shared using recent implementations by our expert.

Our main speaker, Oscar Martinez Rubi, is raring to go. As an expert on Big Data, Business Intelligence and Data Management solutions, Oscar currently leads the Advanced Business Analytics department at ClearPeaks where, together with his team, he works on multiple Big Data, Cloud and Advanced Analytics projects throughout various industries. Some of the main points he would like to focus on during his talk include:

  • Reviewing how to size a large cluster for multi-workload functioning
  • How to optimally organise data lakes and data warehouses to facilitate data engineering
  • How to estimate query response times when designing or sizing a cluster
  • How to leverage search engines in Cloudera and the key advantages of combining other services in Cloudera
  • Best practices when developing data engineering, real time and streaming applications on Cloudera
  • Available options in Cloudera to develop Machine Learning and AI solutions

He will delve into what the future has in store for Cloudera following their merger with Hortonworks in October 2018; a very clear and loud statement that they want to become the undisputed heavyweight champions in the Big Data industry.

Having already offered one of the best Big Data platforms on the market (CDH), Oscar will analyse Cloudera’s newest product, Cloudera Data Platform (CDP), which we have already touched upon in one of our recent blog posts, as well Cloudera’s new full-open source approach, and the important changes that will be happening to Cloudera’s clusters as the new platform seeks to become a an end-to-end platform and the most popular and used Big Data platform on the Cloud.
